AFCON 2015 Qualifier NIGERIA VS S/AFRICA

The Super Eagles were on the brink of not qualifying for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations following their poor start in the qualifying campaign. With four points in four games, the Eagles were condemned to record a win in today’s away clash against Congo.. With the duo of IK Uche and Emanuel Emenike leading the Nigeria attack… Fans were eager to see the Eagles fight their way back to reckoning. They did.
Anything short of victory would have meant the Eagles not been able to defend the title they won last year in South Africa. Interestingly the last time AFCON was staged in Equatorial Guniea Nigeria did not quaifying.
With today’s victory, the Eagles seem determined to avoid a repeat of that scenario.
